Be a Dinner Donor!

We need your help providing meals to some of the most vulnerable people in the Greater Lowell area. Our meals program cooks and serves 3 meals a day, 365 days a year, providing an average of 350 meals each day. Through our Dinner Donor program you can sponsor a meal on a date of your choosing….a great way to honor a birthday, or remember a special person. Learn how here (PDF).

Volunteers Needed!

Can you give a few hours a week or month? Our volunteers are critical to helping run our programs. If you believe in our mission to serve, please consider donating your time and talent. Can you serve on a fundraising committee? Organize a drive at work? Provide administrative help? Learn more about volunteering here.

It is our goal to say these words to each person we serve.

The Lowell Transitional Living Center provides the most vulnerable adults in our in our community with  food, shelter, stability and dignity.  We provide programs and services that meet immediate needs for emergency shelter and food, along with case management and other help that enable those we serve to make the transition from a shelter bed to a permanent place to call home.

Had you told Barbara Droll that she would one day be living in a homeless shelter, she would have probably laughed. Growing up in Lowell, Barbara was a bright, well-spoken and ambitious young woman who graduated with a teaching degree from Lowell State College (now University of Massachusetts Lowell) and went on to earn her master's degree during a successful 22-year teaching career in Lowell elementary schools. "They gave me my life back."
You'd have a hard time finding a harder worker than Brian Williams. When he was only 16, his father died suddenly. Brian dropped out of high school to help his mother support his 11 brothers and sisters.
